When we say civic engagement, we’re talking about to the ways that individuals and groups go about identifying and addressing issues of public concern. Civic engagement can look like many things and wear many different hats: volunteering with your local food bank, helping clean up garbage in your local park, voting, signing petitions or sending letters to your local MP about issues that you think are important to you, your neighbourhood, your city, province or country, just to name a few examples.
On this episode, we take a look at all of these things, and try to address the biggest issues that the country faces in order to engage Canadians in making our society a better place to live.
