Monday, 1 June 2015 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EDT)

It’s been nine years of job losses, health care privatization, falling wages, and environmental neglect.

It’s time for change.

Join a compelling line-up of speakers to learn how you can inspire democratic participation in your community:

  • Maude Barlow, National Chairperson, Council of Canadians
  • Paul Moist, National President, Canadian Union of Public Employees
  • Joanna Kerr, Executive Director, Greenpeace Canada
  • Rajean Hoilett, Chairperson, CFS Ontario & National Racialised Representative at CFS
  • Sudz Sutherland, film and TV director, Member of the Directors Guild of Canada

Together, we can choose a government that creates good jobs, invests in public health care, addresses climate change, and so much more.

The public forum will be followed on June 2 by a hands-on workshop on how to increase voter turnout in your neighbourhood.  The workshop will take place at 6:00 p.m. at the University of Toronto Scarborough, IC220.

This event is organized by the Council of Canadians in partnership with the Canadian Union of Public Employees.
