Social Media Directors

Robert Giannetta

Returning to Beyond the Headlines for a second season is Senior Producer and Social Media Director, Robert Giannetta. He joined BTH as he has an interest in analyzing and critiquing pubic policy issues that affect the criminal justice system. Plus who doesn’t want to produce a podcast?!? In his spare time, Rob is an avid nature and travel photographer and someone who actively searches for the best coffee nearby (FYI it is at 18 Feet Espresso Bar near Robart’s). His policy interests include penalogy, the use of big data in state security/surveillance & the media’s effect on framing public policy issues. Feel free to connect with Rob on Twitter.

Duncan Cooper

Duncan Cooper is an MPP candidate in the class of 2021, hailing from Montreal. Having studied honours history at the University of British Columbia, he specialized in environmental histories of Canada, and hopes to examine questions relating to Indigenous governance and energy policy with BTH. Having also worked in the fields of human rights research and environmental organizing, Duncan looks forward to exploring pressing policy questions related to these fields and beyond. Feel free to connect with him on LinkedIn.
